Dawn is a Grammy nominated Executive Producer, with background in Entertainment, Finance and Advertising. Dawn is an alumni of New York University where her focus was Global Economics, International Law and Human Rights. Upon arriving New York in 1994, Ms Simpson started out at Sony Music with Singer Patra as her Road Manager and Personal Assistant. Later she landed a position with Trackmasters known as Columbia Records and worked on projects for Will Smith, Nas, Destiny's Child, 50 Cents, Joe Pesci etc. At Universal/ Interscope she also coordinated film soundtracks including Rush Hour 2 and Jay Z and R Kelly’s Best of Both Worlds albums. Later Dawn became an Artists and Repertoire (A&R) at Select Records.. Dawn’s film career started in 1989 on the set of movie "Popcorn" and later assisted with casting for High School High as well as, worked at Miramax Film revising scripts. Dawn decided to change pace and went into advertising at USA’s #1 agency Young & Rubicam as an account executive in the Pharmaceutical division. A few years later got drafted as a Foreign Exchange Sales Associate at Citigroup after 2 years got poached by Credit Suisse to bringing on new clients. Dawn worked on the acquisition for NCB at CS, client onboarding for Sagicor, Capital and Credit and Pan Caribbean. Part of her role entailed Legal and Compliance, ISDA negotiations, Anti-Money Laundering and did a risk review on Jamaica and had the country reduced from a high risk to a medium risk country at Credit Suisse. |
